in large rocky areas. It is characterized
by a particularly fine
slate soil with
a distinct red color

rock strata
with its strong
iron content.

Erdener Treppchen

The site Erdener Treppchen
bordering downstream Moselle produces
particularly in the rocky
areas wines of an especially
delicately fruity nature. The
soil is composed of
the blue slate typical for the Moselle region
and the
Rotliegend.

Lösnicher Försterlay

Opposite the village of Lösnich, the Lösnicher Försterlay vineyard lies to the southwest. It extends from the middle to the lower end of the slope. The inclination drops from as much as 60% down to 10%.

Kinheimer Hubertuslay

It faces south-southwest and is somewhat flatter than other sites in this region, with a slope of 15% to 35%. This characteristic favors the growth of excellent Riesling wines in particularly dry years. The gray slate weathered soil gives the wines a particularly mineral and fruity note.
